Baylor Debate attended the 78th National Debate Tournament
Baylor Debate attended the 78th National Debate Tournament earlier this month, extending Baylor's streak of qualifying and competing at nationals to over 20 years! The team of Lawson Hudson ('24) and Omar Darwish ('26) were the top two speakers and third overall seed out of districts last month, earning them automatic qualification to the tournament. This is their second straight year qualifying as a partnership. Joining them at the NDT were Dr. Jeff Nagel (Director), Kristiana Baez (Assistant Director), and graduate student coach Brandon Reynolds. We are so proud of all their hard work this season, and of Lawson for finishing his debate career as a 3 time NDT qualifier and numerous elim round participant and speaker award winner. Sic 'em Bears!
