Apply to Lambda Pi Eta

The online application for membership is open in the Fall (September) and in the Spring (February) semesters. Communication faculty will often post the application in CSS classes, or you may also reach out directly to the faculty advisor below. Note, Lambda Pi Eta is a lifetime membership. If you joined LPH previously, then your membership remains and there is no need for you to reapply.

To be eligible for admission as a CSS undergraduate major or minor, you must

  • Complete at least 60 semester credit-hours with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Complete at least 12 semester credit-hours in CSS courses with a minimum GPA of 3.25 for all CSS courses
  • Be enrolled as a student in good standing

To be eligible for admission as a CSS graduate student, you must

  • Be a Communication graduate student
  • Be enrolled as a student in good standing
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50
  • Complete 12 semester credit-hours in Communication graduate coursework

All communication majors, minors, and graduate students who meet the above criteria are invited to submit an application. After receiving your acceptance letter, you will receive information about submitting the $50 membership fee along with important dates for Lambda Pi Eta events and opportunities.
