Public Debates

The Huff debate, an annual event sponsored by the Glenn R. Capp Debate Forum of Baylor University, is made possible by the generous contributions of the family and friends of Colonel and Mrs. Rufus Huff. Colonel and Mrs. Huff attended Trinity Baptist Church in San Antonio. Two of their three sons graduated from Baylor: Richard Huff (B.A., 1969) and Wayne Huff (B.A., 1972). Both Richard and Wayne Huff are attorneys. Both participated in debate during their high school years. Wayne Huff and wife Melinda Smith Huff won numerous awards as members of Baylor University's debate program.
