Teaching Philosophy
I believe that each of my students is capable of truly great work, so I aim to create a space where expectations of excellence and effort meet grace, instruction, and support. I intend for every assignment and activity to help students grasp class concepts and identify their outside of class functions. In other words, my primary goal is to make everything we learn in class relevant outside of class, both in the workplace and personal relationships. My hope is that my students will leave class having learned from me, from each other, and from their own successes and slip-ups.
Family, Outside Hobbies, and Interests
When I'm not on campus, you can often find me enjoying time with my husband, Carson! We both love being with our friends and family. We value time with our community and will travel far and wide to spend time with "our people." We may run into you at church (Highland), on the driving range, rooting on the Bears, enjoying dinner at some of our favorite Waco spots, or sipping a latte at a local coffee shop (I'll let you decide which is the best)!
What is the best thing about being a Baylor Bear?
The people at Baylor University take the cake. From undergraduate classmates turned life-long friends, to impactful instructors turned colleagues, the individuals (at every level and in every role) are who make Baylor the magnet that it is. It is a joy to work at an institution where the people simultaneously operate with excellence and an eternal perspective!
