Teaching Philosophy:
My teaching philosophy is that we learn best from both the environment around us and others around us. My goal is to present communication in a way that is informative and challenging causing students to look for examples of what we’ve discussed that week in the classroom outside the “real world". I hope to accomplish this by presenting present day examples of communication through presentations, social media activities, discussion, and class activities. I am also a firm believer in the "learning through action approach". One of my professors in undergraduate work helped me understand what conflict looked like by going through a negotiation. It is my hope that students understand that behind every assignment I assign that there is a purpose and an end goal.

Family, Outside Hobbies, and Interests:
Outside of the classroom, I love to spend time with my wife (Ali) and our wonderful dog (Papí). I also love watching movies, fly-fishing, hunting, watching Red Sox games, and woodworking. We are both very active in our church (Calvary Baptist Church), where Ali is the youth minister. We love to travel and you can catch me supporting various Baylor sports teams throughout the year!
What is the best thing about being a Baylor Bear?
The campus and the people that frequent that campus! As a student I loved the interactions I had with my professors and the other faculty on campus. People at Baylor truly care for those around them and want to see other Baylor Bears succeed. It also doesn’t hurt that our campus is one of the most beautiful campuses in the nation!
